The base software platform

SSL develops IS on the basis of the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino technologies . This software is a platform intended to organize the collective work integrating a number of basic services for designing of application systems. The set of basic services Lotus Notes/Domino allows to create a complicated IS, maintain and develop it in the framework of the platform.

Users of Lotus Notes/Domino can work with the database management system, E-mail, tools for the data replication in the distributed network, tools for the data protection; besides the users can design and use special applications for automation of the business processes, install the infrastructure of their enterprise in the web-space and integrate the corporate data and applications.

The information network in Lotus Notes/Domino is built on the basis of the Domino services providing the users with certain resources (databases, E-mail etc). The users have access to these resources by means of the Notes client software. The Lotus technologies allow to create territory-distributed IS: the servers and clients can be located in the different rooms, buildings, cities and countries – Notes/Domino provides them with the information exchange and synchronization of the data using their communication channels.

The built-in Notes/Domino modules for operation with documents (tools for routing, definition of the access hierarchy, tracing of the authors, management of the versions, electronic signature, etc.) create the universal space for automation of the document circulation and business procedures in general. At the same time if some business procedures need to be implemented according to a strict order, this order may be built-in and realized in IS.
