The dominating directions of science-technical activities of SSL are:

• Simulators for nuclear and heat power industry. SSL’s specialty is development of the analytic simulators used in training and qualification maintenance of the operational personnel of Nuclear and Conventional Power Plants.
• Corporative information systems. SSL develops territory-distributed corporative information systems for documentation support of management in different organizations.
• Automated Training Systems. These systems are intended for operational and repair personnel training in the principles of construction and operation of the equipment and technology systems of Nuclear and Conventional Power Plants.
• Research and Design works. SSL in cooperation with different enterprises and institutes of Obninsk implements Science-Research and Design work in sphere of power industry, nuclear medicine and environment protection.
