Quality Assurance System
The Quality Management System (QMS) was developed for the purpose of improving SSL competitive ability due to the following factors:
- making SSL’s activities more clear and controllable;
- better account of the Customers’ requests and responses;
- systematic monitoring and planning of SSL’s activities as well as products improvement.
All the factors noted above among others are required by GOST R ISO 9001-2001. Therefore, QMS has been developed in accordance with this standard. Besides, the requirements of GOST R ISO 9004-2001 have also been taken into account to enhance SSL’s activities – one of the objectives of QMS development.
QMS applies to all of the company's software development activities as this sphere is most profitable and defining the competitive ability of SSL.
QMS comprises about 50 different processes and sub-processes clustered into four main groups:
A1 -“Responsibility of Management” – ensures SSL quality assurance.
A2 - “Resources Management ” – ensures management of the personnel, infrastructure, production environment.
A3 - “Processes of the Products’ Life Cycle” – includes all activities on the products creation and contacts with its Customer.
A4 - “Measurement, Analysis and Improvement” – intended to obtain and carry out the initial analysis of information on QMS operation and conformity of the products with the Customer’s requests.
The basis of QMS is the Policy in quality sphere that defines the current activities and strategy of SSL development as well as eight principles formulated in GOST R ISO 9004-2001.
