Simulators for conventional power plants
The considerable experience in the NPP simulator development accumulated by SSL allows to apply the new technologies for the development of simulators for Conventional Power Plants including Steam Gas Power Plants (SGPP) with the automated control system TELEPERM (Siemens). SSL also develops Training-Methodical Support for SGPP’s personnel training as well as simulator instructors training.

The instructor’s subsystem allows to introduce predefined sets of the initiating conditions for the simulation start and a wide spectrum of the equipment and systems failures. The instructor’s subsystem also allows to record the trainees’ actions, automatic operation and change of simulated parameters in order to analyze the training session. | |
To develop a simulator of that type, SSL uses, besides the models created earlier for NPP simulators, the models developed additionally:

- Model of the compressor, the combustion chamber and the gas turbine;
- Model of the fuel burning kinetics;
- Model of the boiler;
- Model of the steam turbine;
- Model of the condenser;
- The two-phase network thermo-hydraulic model;
- CAD tools for I&C simulation upon the basis of TELEPERM;
- A graphic utility for HMI (Human-Machine Interface) designing including HMI TELEPERM (ÎÌ-650 or OS-265).
